The Coming Storm.

Even if it is rainy.

Even if it is rainy.

It’s my kind of day, Friday. While still somewhat dismal and gray, you still can’t beat the ‘end of the week’ vibe drifting all around this place. I’m still amazed how much snow, let alone rain this place gets. I know, I know, Wooster is more north than people would think, and it’s cold because of that, but still. I mean, it’s also payday, so the overall feeling for today is a good one to begin with. Fuzzy morning though.

On a second note, I had some of the most ridiculous dreams last night. I haven’t had dreams in a long while, nor can I remember the ones I had last night, but man. They were weird. I distinctly remember spending money on either ITunes songs or Applications for the IPhone. Either way, I was losing money at a dollar a time, which is odd enough. Just sifted through all of my emails on my GMail account, and I still think I’ve got more archived somewhere, specifically my receipts for purchases in ITunes and so forth. Sorting through those kind of things is so incredibly monotonous, but I love doing it. I mean, granted it was like, 500 emails I went through, but it’s nice to see the memories you keep and the people that like to keep in touch with you. Let me tell you though, those little digital reciepts seem to get lost in the void sometimes, I swear. They seem to be something along the lines of digital socks. You know, you lose a sock almost every SINGLE time you go dry your clothes. Just dissapears, into a void. Without fail.

So, my good friend Sam VanFleet and I are trying to work out core strength by doing some parcore exercises. Yes, that does eventually mean I’ll be jumping off buildings. No, we’re not jumping off of buildings right from the get-go and no, I will not break anything either. I’m excited though, I could feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins as I was throwing myself over fences and hurdles on the track. Bain had a bit more trouble, and took a bit of a tumble off of a hurdle, but he recovered flawlessly.

Well, no doubt more to come on this rainy Friday. For now, I’ll leave you with some Edgar Allan Poe.

A Dream Within A Dream

Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep – while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

Little World!

Little World!

Love that Poe poem, one of my favorites.
