Country Road

Oh, the weather has been good to us.

Gotta say, the weather this time of year is amazing. Applause to the month of April and beginning of May. Rockin’ as always.

I seem to get the best kind of ideas in the shower these days. I’m not really sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. Anyways, today has been a day of ideas. No, I haven’t spent the entire day in the shower. I think that’d probably get kind of boring after a while. While I’ve been at college, I’ve found that the most effective way of waking myself up in the morning is if I and think up ideas for various things while in the shower. Mundane things, like what I could invent to be the next toothpick, or what I might have for breakfast that day. Usually, the things I think up are rarely of notice in my mind, it just helps me jump-start my creative thinking. Well, yesterday morning, something was actually good enough for me to jot down on a piece of paper.

I’m going to write a book.

While creating a collection of short stories for my independent study was difficult, yes, I thought it’d be a nice run at the ground publishing wise if I just sat down and whipped up a manuscript. Anyways, the tenative title is to be “Ice Cream Headaches and Romantic Heartbreaks: My Relationship with Food.” Now, you might ask yourself, what in the world is this going to be about? No, it won’t be teen pop oriented, or anything of that ilk. This isn’t going to be a Chicken Soup for the Soul. Rather, this’ll be a collection of stories surrounding the food that has made a significant impact on my life. From Chili to Ice Cream, food has made a noticeable impression on myself. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse, but an impression nonetheless.

The perfect cover! Hah!

What’s a food that’s tied to one of your strongest memories?

Oh Odin – you should do this in partnership with my food blog that I was thinking about.
Thinking about starting a food/recipe blog, about our daily struggles eating with all of Scott’s dietary restrictions – Cooking with a Vampire (mwuaahhaha – no garlic, get it?)

What do you say?

PS. I miss you.
and I love reading this.
