STORM WARNING.

STORM WARNING.

I’ve got a couple of minutes to myself, so I thought I might go about describing my day today. It’s been far too rainy for summer. This morning is the second day in a row we’ve had solid rain in the morning. Not the cute little drizzle that plagues Ohio over the humid summer months. Was this morning’s storm cute? Was it a widdle bitty storm? Let me put it this way.

This storm was a “I’m-going-to-kick-you-in-the-teeth-to-make-sure-your-not-sleeping-anymore” kind of storm.

I woke up to some of the brightest lightning I have ever seen. I hesitated in taking a shower, but I’d rather be clean and electrocuted than smelly and not. Moving on outside, the weather took on a cold drizzle, then moved into retina-obliterating sunshine. Note, when one is wearing contacts, it’s always handy to have a pair of sunglasses on hand. To, you know, be able to see in the event of bipolar weather. I was practically on my knees trying to get in my last gasps of oxygen, since the air around me had suddenly turned to a dense, humid mass. Slipping on my already wet sandals, I made my way from Lowry (avoiding the treacherous construction.) to Morgan. The weather alone makes for an epic morning. I haven’t even gotten to what I’ve even accomplished yet.

Mind you, this is all before 8:30 in the morning, so my mind amplifies things by, oh, say the power of Greyskull.

But seriously, on the crazy note of weather, two days ago we had two tornadoes actually form and touch down. This, by the by, was quite the impressive end of my work day, since maybe 15 minutes prior to this craziness of weather, it was so sunny it was actually warm. I’m not kidding, it was freaking bizarre. Tornado? Rain? Hail? With sunshine? At that point in my day, I had no idea. But do you know what my though process was at the time being?

“Whatever. If I get sucked into a tornado, I’ll find something to skate on.” with board in hand, skated home and carried on my evening. Spagetti-o’s to round off the night.
